Annual lecture series – Part 5

Posted by: Chef McDang  /  Category: Travel

The Prep work for lecture took no time to finish with the help of faculty and students.  The lecture started at 10 am sharp.  Surprised to see so many students and chefs attended the lecture which lasted about 2 hours or so followed by demo on Thai Green Chicken Curry.  Then the lecture.  Under-estimated the number of people who will are interested and who have heard of me or remembered me when I lectured here twice before!  Fun but tired because not gotten over jet lag.

Still trying to get over jet lag but a hectic morning and day awaits.  Begin lecture series, demo and reception at Cordon Bleu Pasadena.  Chef Coker was wonderful and very helpful.  Have not returned to CSCA for two years but it was like coming home.  The school has changed and is still expanding.  They are have taken over another building across the street and will have a new restaurant for the school there.

Shopping for ingredients for lecture series at Le Cordon Bleu Pasadena. Whole sale Thai grocery store LAX-C. Can get almost everything there fresh, frozen and canned…..The place is huge. Meeting Royal Thai Government Council General for LA at his residence to go over my lecture series program. House still looks pretty and LA weather is perfect. I know now why so many people love southern California….the weather! and it is almost year round nice weather.
